Learning about campaigning, brainstorming and preparing local campaigns

Today was an interesting day. It all started when our dear friend Kuba suffered from a sports injury, but he is a tough guy so he returned shortly. We started with presentation about campaining , types of campaign, phases of campaign and how to develop a good message.

Groups were then formed and we discussed about the problems in Nea Kallikratia, of course most of us with coffee in our hands, walking around the city and researching once again the local situation. Can we do something about those problems? This was the main question after lunch and we had some ideas how to answer this, so we brainstormed together in the plenary.

We wrote down our ideas,  split into 7 groups according to our preferences and started to plan our local campaigns which will take place tomorrow in different places around Nea Kallikratia. We needed to think and agree about  1) need/issue that our campaign will tackle; 2) our goal; 3) target group/s; of our campaigns  4) time; 5) location; 6) resources/materials we might need;  and 7) team roles during the campaigning.

We finished the day with a creative mid-term evaluation by drawing our hands on paper and answering different questions for each finger such as: what was good, what surprised us so far, what could be better, what we will take home and what might have been short or missing.

Our friends from Estonia, Lithuania and Poland are preparing for  their intercultural evening, so we better write this report ASAP, because after the country presentations, intoxication of participants may be a bad factor for writing.

SLOVEnia (small, but beautiful country) team wishes you a great evening and enjoy the rest of the exchange 🙂

P.S. NOT SLOVAKIA!
